Over the past few weeks, FastTrack have been raising money for various charities through dress-down days! First of all, our
Watford Office held an Office Dress-Down in order to raise money for a local parent who ran the Brighton Marathon to raise money for the
NSPCC! Raising a £41.16 donation, the money will help to fund trained
volunteers in primary schools in the UK, in delivering difficult information
with the expertise and security that ChildLine has developed over the past
25years!
For the biennial Red Nose Day on 14th
March, our Watford office had a dress down day raising £39.09 (plus a fantastic
donation of £50 for the charity from James Barnham!).
Part of Comic Relief, the charity’s aim is to
"bring about positive and lasting
change in the lives of poor and disadvantaged people, which we believe requires
investing in work that addresses people's immediate needs as well as tackling
the root causes of poverty and injustice".
At the end of the
2015 Red Nose Day telethon it was announced that in the 30-year history of
Comic Relief the Red Nose Day and Sport Relief appeals had raised in excess of
£1bn (£1,047,083,706)! Fantastic!
For more information on the NSPCC, please visit their website at http://www.nspcc.org.uk/ and take a look at the Red Nose Day website at http://www.rednoseday.com/! Don't forget to make your own donations for both causes...REMEMBER a little goes a long way!
